High Value C

Jarrett Allen, BKN vs IND ($5,800): The bad news is that Allen has missed value in his last two games. The worse news is that his minutes have dropped below 20 in those two games. He’s averaging 12.6 fantasy points in two games against the Pacers. The Pacers are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. So, on paper, this is a good matchup. But his recent performances and past performances against the Pacers don’t bode well. He has 30-plus fantasy point potential, but he’s certainly a risk. **

Dewayne Dedmon, ATL at DET ($5,700): Dedmon started on Tuesday and delivered with 30 fantasy points against the Bucks. He dominated the Pistons to the tune of 47.1 fantasy points against them on Sunday. When he starts, he’s been a great low cost option who get you at least 30 fantasy points when. He should start in this one, and while 47.1 fantasy points might be a tough ask, he’ll be over the 25.3 fantasy points he needs to reach value. ****

Marcin Gortat, WAS at NY ($5,500): Gortat followed up his 31 fantasy point performance against the Celtics with 35.3 fantasy points against the Bulls. He had 36.6 fantasy points against the Knicks on Jan. 3. If Markieff Morris is out, that will increase Gortat’s role in the offense. He also won’t have to deal with the shot blocking of Kristaps Porzingis. He’s been inconsistent this season, but the matchup and opportunity are there for him on Wednesday. ***
