Round 4 – Pick 127

Kylie Fitts, EDGE, Utah

As previously mentioned, the Titans desperately need to inject some athleticism and youth into their front seven. It started in this mock with Malik Jefferson in the first round. Now it moves onto the edge with Utah’s Kylie Fitts.

With Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan in town, Fitts would not be a full-time starter, which would benefit the athletic edge rusher. The biggest knock on Fitts is his ability to stay on the field. He has suffered injuries in each of the last two seasons, including most of 2016.

When he is healthy, he is a disruptive force off the edge. Fitts is a long 6-foot-4 edge player weighing just under 260 pounds. When you turn on the tape you see him utilize his length well in long-arm rushes. He also possesses excellent bend in the hips and ankles to tighten corners en route to the quarterback.

With Tennessee he can rotate in as a pass rusher as he adds to his weak lower body. If he is able to put on some lower body strength it would enable him to better set an edge and defend the run. Right now he is best suited as that situational pass rusher rather than someone who can take over for either Orakpo or Morgan.

The former linebacker and now coach, Vrabel understands the need for this team to get to the quarterback with athleticism. Jefferson and Fitts would completely change the outlook of the linebacker corps with their athletic play style.
