2018 NFL Draft: Indianapolis Colts 7 round mock draft
By Joe Romano
Round 4 – Pick 106
Frank Ragnow, C/G, Arkansas
After a year without their starting quarterback due to an injury, the Colts would be wise to look up front in order to help Andrew Luck. The team also lost center Ryan Kelly for some part of the season as well in way to giving up the league’s most sacks. Luckily for them this is a very deep and talented interior offensive line class.
One of the most underrated prospects in that class is Frank Ragnow of Arkansas. The reason he is being underrated is because he missed the majority of this season with an injury. Despite that he was considered one of the best interior offensive lineman in the talented SEC. Before his 2017 injury, Ragnow made 33 straight starts for Arkansas. He played in every season he was at Arkansas, including All-Freshman All-American honors.
Coming in at 6-foot-5 and 309 pounds Ragnow has the prototypical frame for an interior offensive lineman in the NFL. Not only does he have a huge frame, but there is room for him to grow into it. Some teams will fall in love with him and there is very little chance he is around in the fourth round. Ragnow has positional versatility to play either guard spot or center. Although he lacks elite athleticism, his experience and versatility will push him up draft boards. If his medicals check out (they should) there is a chance he sneaks into the round two conversation.
For the Colts he would line up at left guard next to Kelly and Anthony Costanzo. That would strengthen an interior that looked over matched at times last year. It is rare to find a player who could start the minute he steps on the field this late but Ragnow is that kind of player.
