Cross Christopher Nolan’s name off the list of candidates to direct Bond 25. After nearly a year of speculation, based on an Internet Movie Database (IMDB) listing, Nolan put his foot down on suggestions that he is indeed directing the film.

During an interview on BBC radio, Christopher Nolan was asked about Bond 25. “I won’t be the man,” Nolan said. “No, categorically.” He then added, “I think every time they hire a new director I’m rumored to be doing it.”

The discussion of Bond came up when Nolan mentioned that John Barry’s soundtrack to On her Majesty’s Secret Service is one of his “Desert Island Discs,” the topic of the radio show. Undoubtedly, Bond has influenced Nolan, and he has never shied away from that fact. He is on record as saying he would love to direct a Bond film.

"I love the character, I love the films, I’ve been very inspired by the films as anyone who’s seen my films will find embarrassingly obvious…But you’d only take on a franchise like that if you could bring something completely new to it, if that were needed."
