Saturday, Feb. 24:  Los Angeles at Sacramento, 10:00 p.m. ET

Young winner: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Rising Stars Challenge MVP

Ah youth, they’re so silly. Bogdanovic drained seven 3-pointers en route to winning the Rising Star MVP, but exposed his lack of experience in highly entertaining exhibition games. He committed one of those Euro-fouls — a Manu Ginobili-style classic where a player doesn’t want to do defend against a fast break, so they foul. Everyone hates them. At other points, Bogdanovic treated it like a real game. He’ll learn that All-Star Weekend isn’t about winning or losing, but the show.

The Kings have been playing toward to 2018-19 since the start of 2017-18. The Lakers have just embraced 2018-19. Though they’re losing their draft pick this season, they traded Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson — deals they wanted to unload — and have opened enough cap space to sign to max level free agents, namely Paul George and LeBron James. They now have their strongest case to land both. It’s just a matter of what LeBron decides to do.
