NBA Power Rankings: All-Star shots, passes, dunks, and games
By Daniel Lewis
The Heat are in a bit of a free fall, one that included losing both of their games this week. They nearly rallied on the road against the Toronto Raptors, losing 115-112 after Josh Richardson couldn’t get a shot at the buzzer to fall that would have forced overtime. The Raptors outscored the Heat by 15 in the third quarter, but Miami responded with a 31-17 effort in the fourth to nearly steal a game in Canada. They coughed up a 24-point second half lead to the 76ers, unable to capitalize on Joel Embiid’s absence. James Johnson had 22 points and Goran Dragic had 18 points, but they’ve lost seven of their last eight going into the All-Star break. “We’re capable of getting over this hump and I believe we will,” Erik Spoelstra said.
