NBA Power Rankings: All-Star shots, passes, dunks, and games
By Daniel Lewis
The Hawks lost an ugly game to the Bucks, 97-92, with both teams looking like could use a few days off for most of the evening. Atlanta shot just 38 percent from the floor in the game, and the Bucks blocked 10 shots to help the Hawks gain another game in the race for the No. 1 lottery pick. Atlanta lost 104-98 to Detroit, but they gave it everything they had with a 37 point fourth quarter that nearly put them ahead in the final stretch. “It is pretty obvious that this was a night that didn’t look like it was going to go well for us as a group,” Mike Budenholzer said. “It looked like they were going to pull away on us, but it is a credit to the character of these guys that they fought back and made it a game.” Andrew White III lead the Hawks in scoring with 15 points in his NBA debut, with Kent Bazemore and Dennis Schroder out to get additional rest (for the games they really need to win later in the season).
