1. Justin Pugh

Pugh is the unrestricted free agent that New York simply cannot afford to lose. Their offensive line needs a lot of work as it is, but losing their best blocker in Pugh could be disastrous. Pugh is a highly capable right tackle, but he is an even better guard. That versatility has added value though. He has been very consistent over his five-year career in New York, but did play through injury for much of the 2017 season.

Pugh is a very good athlete that pulls and gets downfield very well. He isn’t a mauler, but has very good feet and technique. Pugh is also a high-end pass protector. Andrew Norwell is the only free agent guard that will demand more on the open market than Pugh, but the Giants simply cannot afford to be without him going forward.

It should be noted that Norwell was brought to Carolina by Gettleman and could also really interest the Giants’ new general manager. Could Gettleman somehow land both?
