March Madness 2018 seed predictions: Kansas rises to No.1, Purdue falls
No. 3 Seeds
9. Texas Tech (22-5) (South-Atlanta)
10. Ohio State (22-7) (Midwest-Omaha)
11. Cincinnati (23-4) (West-Los Angeles)
12. Gonzaga (25-4) (East-Boston)
The No. 3 seed line is filled with missed opportunities and teams who may have tapped out their seeding potential.
This past weekend saw Texas Tech, Ohio State, and Cincinnati all suffer losses to tourney-bound teams which is nothing to really chide them for, however, each team sees a lot of major damage done to potential conference title hopes. However, both Ohio schools have lost two games in a row while the Texas Tech Red Raiders loss to Baylor sets up a huge Big 12 showdown with Kansas this coming Saturday.
Aside from Gonzaga who seems to be set as a three seed at this point, Ohio State, Cincy, and Tech have to climb uphill if they want a shot at reaching the two or even the top seed line. Ohio State will have one of the first shots at rebounding from their losses as the Big Ten tournament is looming a week earlier than usual.
Games of note this week
February 21st
Texas Tech at Oklahoma State
Texas Tech needed to beat Baylor on Saturday to maintain their lead and now they’ve got to go to Stillwater to keep pace with Kansas, life in the Big 12 is not fun.

A sneaky good mid-week trip to San Diego awaits the Bulldogs.
February 24th

If Tech can survive Stillwater, then they’ve got Kansas at home. Good luck!

Gonzaga stays on the road but this time at BYU who is looking to make it three teams from the West Coast Conference in the NCAAs.
