Iowa. James Daniels. 22. player. 16. . C

The Bills are back for their second pick in a row and this time, add to the offensive front with Iowa center James Daniels.

The career-ending injury to center Eric Wood leaves the Bills with a huge hole to fill in the middle of their offensive line and with Billy Price already off the board to the Chargers, former Hawkeye James Daniels could very well be the next best option.

Daniels is yet another ultra-athletic interior player with good length and sound technique. It seems that Iowa is constantly churning out 1,000-yard backs and a large part of that is their consistency up front. Daniels saw immediate playing time with the Hawkeyes as a freshman and has made his home at center for the past two seasons. His lack of bulk for the position could expose him susceptible to bull rushes and struggling at the point of attack at the pro level, but his sound technique could allow for him to hold his own.

The Bills know that losing a player of Eric Wood’s caliber will need to be addressed sooner rather than later come draft day, and with Daniels still on the board at this spot, look for them to pounce on the opportunity to draft him.
