1. Center

Early-round picks from a year ago, Dan Feeney and Lamp should be penciled in as Los Angeles’ starting guards. Matt Slauson’s contract is up, which further opens the door for Feeney and Lamp to truly take over.

However, it was Kenny Wiggins, another free agent to be, who played more snaps than any other Chargers guard. But Wiggins didn’t perform well in that capacity. Like Wiggins, Spencer Pulley also played over 1,000 snaps, but as Los Angeles’ starting center. That too didn’t go so well. The interior of the Chargers offensive line was a huge problem spot in 2017 in both the running game and pass protection.

Thankfully for this organization, Rivers was excellent when under pressure. Still, this is a team desperately in need of a long term starting center. This draft class looks to be especially rich at the center position, which might be the best direction for Los Angeles to go to fortify the middle of the offensive line.
