High Salary C

Anthony Davis, NO vs MIA ($11,700): Davis has been over 80 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He’s had to be excellent for the Pelicans with DeMarcus Cousins out of the lineup and he’s delivered more often than not. The Heat are fifth against centers in their last 15 games, but Davis has slid back to power forward with Emeka Okafor entering the lineup. Miami ranks 14th against power forwards in their last 15 games. The Heat have one of the best defenses in the league, but little can be done about Davis when he gets rolling. Expect another strong night from the Pelicans forward on Friday. ****

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at HOU ($9,700): The Rockets are 24th against the position in their last 15 games and Towns has dominated them this season. In two games against the Rockets, he’s averaging 65.8 fantasy points. He picks up plenty of points and assists and contributes with blocks given how often Houston likes to drive to the rim. Towns’ numbers against the Rockets are too good to ignore. Unless Houston has finally figured out how to guard against him or they take nothing but threes (don’t rule that out), Towns should have another 50-plus fantasy points on Friday. *****

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs SA ($9,700): Jokic posted 74.5 fantasy points against the Bucks the last time he was on the floor. He had 57.1 fantasy points against the Spurs in the game prior to that. The Nuggets are better at home, largely due to the fact that Jokic is better at home. The Spurs are sixth against the position in their last 15 games, but Jokic has recent success against them and was on a different level prior to the break. Assuming he’s still on that level, he should have no issue giving you at least 45 fantasy points in this one. ****
