FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 23, 2018
High Value PG
Dejounte Murray, SA at DEN ($6,200): The Nuggets are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. Murray had 33.2 fantasy points against them on the game prior to the break. The Nuggets are better at home than they are on the road, but their overall defense isn’t great, ranking 22nd in the league. Murray is a decent contribute in all categories and the return of Rudy Gay, who likely be limited, should help a bit given his scoring ability. He can be counted on for around 30 fantasy points. ***
J.J. Barea, DAL at LAL ($6,000): Barea had 43.5 fantasy points against the Kings prior to the break. He was over value in all three games which he started before the All-Star break. He should remain in the starting lineup, which is a good sign for his value moving forward. He had 24.7 fantasy points against the Lakers on Feb. 10. He needs 26.3 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. He appears to be over his late January slump, and being in the starting lineup affords him more opportunities to produce. ***
Austin Rivers, LAC at PHO ($5,600): I’m an advocate of taking anyone and everyone against the Suns. Even if the Clippers are on a back-to-back, this is Phoenix we’re talking about. They haven’t played defense all season, having nothing to play for after the break, and will likely give even more opportunities to their younger players. Rivers has been over value in four of his last five, including a 28.1 fantasy point effort against the Warriors on Thursday. He should be around the same number on Friday, which a chance that he goes over 30 fantasy points given the matchup. ****
