FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 23, 2018
High Salary PF
Blake Griffin, DET vs BOS ($8,400): Griffin missed value in the two games prior to the break. He’s been fairly consistent since the trade, with his lows not being too low and his highs not being too high. He needs 36.5 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. The Celtics have a top defense in the league, but they limped into the All-Star break and rank 27th against power forwards in their last 15 games. This is unlikely to be a high scoring affair, but the matchup is good enough to where Griffin should hit value. ***
Tobias Harris, LAC at PHO ($7,500): Harris had 36.7 fantasy points against the Warriors on Thursday. He’s hit value in three of his last four games and continues to provide the Clippers with plenty of scoring along with a handful of assists and rebounds. The back-to-back isn’t much of an issue considering the opponent. Neither team offers much in terms of defense, but the Clippers have the better offense. Harris should put up points and collect enough rebounds and assists to be well over 30 fantasy points, with a 40-plus fantasy point game in play.. ****
Dwight Powell, DAL at LAL ($6,700): Powell has been over value in eight straight contests, including going over 30 fantasy points in four straight. He needs 29.1 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. He had 33.9 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Lakers on Feb. 10. This is a matchup that he’s had recent success against and a good one on paper. The Lakers are 24th against the position in their last 15 games. If he starts, that’s better for his value. But even if he comes off the bench, he’s proven he can put up big numbers in limited minutes. ****
