High Value PG

J.J. Barea, DAL at UTA ($5,500): Barea had 25.4 fantasy points for the Mavericks on Friday night against the Lakers. It was a rough night for the Mavericks overall, but Barea was at least around value. His salary has dropped on Saturday to where he needs 24.2 fantasy points against the Jazz. As bad as Dallas looked, Barea has been a consistent contributor all season and is someone who will come out to compete. He’ll be around value again. ***

Tyler Johnson, MIA vs MEM ($4,400): Johnson was over value on Friday, contributing 21.9 fantasy points against the Pelicans. He’s been over value in three of his last four. His one miss was be less than one fantasy points. He’s been inserted into the starting lineup and has performed well. That should continue on Saturday, especially against a Grizzlies team that has been going downhill since since December. Miami is desperate for a win, they’re at home, and Johnson will do his part in at least hitting value. ***

Emmanuel Mudiay, NY vs BOS ($4,400): Mudiay had 21 fantasy points as the starter against the Magic on Thursday. Trey Burke was the guy who ended up going off the Knicks, but Mudiay will certainly see the bulk of the opportunities given that he’s the starter. The Celtics are a tough matchup, ranking 10th against point guards in their last 15 games, but they are on a back-to-back. Mudiay should perform better as he gets more playing time with the starters. ***
