3. Find a true tight end for Aaron Rodgers

In order for this Green Bay Packers offense to run smoothly, the team is going to have to get Aaron Rodgers a real answer at the tight end position in 2018. Last season, the team tried to replace Jared Cook with Martellus Bennett, but that ended up being one of the worst marraiges in the NFL. Bennett ended up leaving the Packers for New England before the year was up, leaving the team with Lance Kendricks and Richard Rodgers as the top tight end options in the passing game.

Going into next season, the team may decide to bring back Rodgers, but they should go in another direction. Players like Tyler Eifert should be available via the draft, and the team could get a pass-catching college tight end like Oklahoma’s Mark Andrews in the draft. With a solid tight end in the passing game, there is no end to the possibilities for Rodgers next season, especially with the development of some good young running backs in 2017.

The Packers are going to put up points, as a healthy Rodgers should get them back to the top of the NFC North next season. This offense runs the  best when there is a good pass-catching tight end in the lineup, as it opens up options downfield. Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, and Randall Cobb are an elite trio at the wide receiver position, so bringing in a player like Eifert could make this the best passing game in the NFL next season.
