The Green Bay Packers looked to be a team to beat in the NFC last season, as they got out to a solid start behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, Rodgers ended up breaking his collarbone midway through the year, and it essentially ended any hopes they had of making it to the playoffs. Rodgers returned late, but played in only one game, before being put back on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

One area of need that has hurt the Packers as of late is at the cornerback position. In order to get better, the team needs to dip into this very deep position group during the 2018 NFL Draft. One name to keep your eye on is Denzel Ward from Ohio State, who could very well be the first cornerback taken, if Minkah Fitzpatrick is labeled as a safety going in.

Ward has incredible ball hawking skills, and he would slide right in as the CB1 in Green Bay. He plays with tremendous passion, and is used to playing in the Wisconsin area during his time in the Big Ten with the Buckeyes. Adding a player of his caliber instantly makes the Packers better against the pass, which is crucial in an NFC with so many great signal-callers.
