Oklahoma. Orlando Brown. 17. player. 13. . Offensive Tackle

The Los Angeles Chargers started off the 2017 NFL season at 0-4, and it looked like first-year head coach Anthony Lynn would be in for a long year. However, Lynn righted the ship, and by Week 17, they were still very much alive in the AFC Playoff race. While the team failed to reach the playoffs, they have something special brewing in that organization, and they could definitely find themselves in the playoffs next season.

Quarterback Philip Rivers is still a solid signal-caller, and he continues to put up numbers. The issue with him over the years has been a lack of consistency in protecting him, and the Chargers can address that in April. Orlando Brown has spent the last few years protecting Baker Mayfield, helping the quarterback win the Heisman Trophy last season, and advancing to the College Football Playoff.

Brown is an incredible specimen, and he should be able to stay on the left side at the next level. He is also a very smart player, so protecting Rivers’ blindside should be no issue. This Chargers team is going to be very interesting to watch next season, as they have the talent to make a serious run in the AFC. The only concern is keeping Rivers upright, which Brown could certainly help them do.
