2. Tight End

Since the Saints are not as deep or as potent as they have been at wide receiver, it compounds the need for an upgrade at tight end. Having Alvin Kamara and his immense abilities in the passing game sure helps, but Brees could use a big body in the middle of the field and in red zone to utilize.

The Saints tight end depth chart right now reads: Coby Fleener, Josh Hill and Michael Hoomanawanui. But Fleener has really disappointed since New Orleans signed him away from the Colts and probably will be released. Hill and Hoomanawanui have been solid contributors in this league, but they are clearly backups.

He isn’t much of a factor, but Clay Harbor’s contract is up as well. The Saints might actually need two new tight ends when it is all said and done. Jimmy Graham is on the open market… and a reunion would make some sense. Graham would likely welcome a trip back to the Big Easy, playing indoors in an offense he knows.

Graham might also be the best of a bad situation for New Orleans, considering both the draft and free agency are light on pass-catching tight ends.
