19. player. 24. . F. Cedevita. Dzanan Musa

I like the roster Chicago has built because it can go in several directions, and Musa’s versatility would be a welcome addition.

Perhaps the Bulls choose to go extremely small and use Lauri Markkanen as as their center in some lineups, finding another big to man the middle part-time or in bigger matchups. They could also go all in on defense, taking advantage of Kris Dunn’s potential on that end to really get after ball-handlers and control the pace of the game. Maybe the even opt to buy completely into versatile scoring at all three levels, using Markkanen’s elite shooting touch to craft an offense based around space and passing.

Musa fits gorgeously into that last plan. The Bosnian forward is a perfect floor-spacer in the modern NBA. His jumper release is like a whip, and his feet are quick enough to attack closeouts at the European level. On the interior, his footwork is incredible for someone so big who plays mostly outside. He can finish in traffic, so long as he isn’t bumped.

While Musa may take a while, Chicago has all the time in the world. They are still several pieces away, and will add another player with their own lottery pick. They don’t have to hit the jackpot with this pick, but Musa has some upside depending on how he looks handling the ball and playing defense.
