FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 2, 2018
High Value PG
Dennis Smith Jr., DAL at CHI ($6,200): After struggling in the two games after the breaking, Smith Jr. has regained his footing and has been over value in his last two games. He needs 27.8 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. The rookie point guard posted 31.9 fantasy points against the Bulls on Jan. 5. Now that he’s looking more like himself, expect another 30-plus fantasy point performance from Smith Jr. on Friday. The Bulls are strong against the position, fourth in their last 15 games, but Smith Jr.’s recent play and earlier season success bode well. ***
Emmanuel Mudiay, NY at LAC ($5,100): Mudiay has been over value in all three games since becoming the starter in New York. He’s coming off a 41.9 fantasy point performance against the Warriors on Monday. Trey Burke continues his hot play, but Mudiay’s lower salary, and the fact that he’s the starter, make him a more appealing player of the two. Mudiay did have 21.9 fantasy points in 15 minutes off the bench for the Nuggets against the Clippers on Jan. 17. ****
D.J. Augustin, ORL vs DET ($4,900): Augustin missed value by 1.8 fantasy points against the Raptors on Wednesday. He’s been more miss than hit since taking over the starters role following the trade deadline. But his salary is low and the matchup is good. The Pistons rank 24th against the position in their last 15 games. Augustin needs 21.9 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. He should be around value in this one. ***
