High Salary PG

Elfrid Payton, PHO at ATL ($7,800): Payton had 51.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Friday. He’s been strong as the lead point guard on the Suns as they are all offense and no defense. He’s becoming a triple-double threat every night, and that’s certainly not out of the question against the Hawks. 40-plus fantasy points should be expected in a game where points and rebounds will be a plenty. ****

Dennis Schroder, ATL vs PHO ($7,600): The Suns are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Schroder has been over value in three straight. Points should be no problem for the Atlanta guard on Sunday. He underperformed in the Jan. 2 meeting against Phoenix, posting 30 fantasy points in that one. Being at home and taking on Phoenix, expect at least 40 fantasy points from Schroder on Sunday. ****

Lou Williams, LAC vs BKN ($7,700): Williams has missed value in his last two, but don’t be concerned. His minutes were down against the Knicks and he missed value by just .2 fantasy points. His salary has lowered as a result to where he needs 36 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. That number should be no problem for Williams given his talent and the matchup. Expect him to be over 40 fantasy points, with the only concern being a lack of playing time in a blowout. ****

D’Angelo Russell, BKN at LAC ($7,300): The Clippers are 21st against the position in their last 15 games. Russell has been over value in four of five games since re-joining the starting lineup. He was up to 38 minutes against the Kings and it looks like he’ll be over 30 minutes for the foreseeable future, which is great news for his value. Plenty of points should be scored in this one. If that’s the case, Russell will have his hand in contributing. ****
