High Value PG

Trey Burke, NY at POR ($5,300): I’ve been on Emmanuel Mudiay for awhile now, but maybe Burke is the point guard of the future in New York. Mudiay remains the start, but Burke is the better player, at least in fantasy terms. The Trail Blazers are a tough matchup, but someone has to run point in New York. He’s been over value in four of his last five and his play is too good to ignore at this point. So, expect a big night from Mudiay. ***

Eric Gordon, HOU at OKC ($4,900): Gordon had 37.25 fantasy points against the Celtics on Saturday. He’s been inconsistent all season, but his minutes remain around 30 and he continues to get plenty of looks off the bench. He’s regained his shooting form in his last two games, which could spell bad news for the Thunder on Tuesday. He had 25.75 fantasy points against them on Christmas, although he was a starter. Expect him over 25 fantasy points on Tuesday.

Fred VanVleet, TOR vs ATL ($4,200): The Hawks are third against the position in their last 15 games, but their overall defense is at the bottom of the league. If this one is over by the third quarter like I suspect it will be, it means more playing time for VanVleet. He needs 19.7 fantasy points to hit value. He’s a nice low cost option who should be over 20 fantasy points and will be needed if you want multiple stars.
