FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 6, 2018
High Value PG
Trey Burke, NY at POR ($5,500): The Trail Blazers are ninth against the position in their last 15 games, but are on a back-to-back. Burke has been better than most could have imagined coming off the bench for the Knicks. It’s looking more and more like Emmanuel Mudiay is not the answer in New York and they still seem afraid to commit to Frank Ntilikina. That leave Burke as the guy to carry the load. It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it. ***
Fred VanVleet, TOR vs ATL ($4,800): The Hawks are first against the position in their last 15 games, but their overall defense is at the bottom of the league. Furthermore, the Raptors are firing on all cylinders and their bench is at the top of the league. His minutes should be up in this one as the Raptors put this one to bed early. VanVleet somehow had 49.9 fantasy points in 19 minutes against the Hawks on Jan. 24 He’s a nice low cost option who will be over value. ***
Shabazz Napier, POR vs NY ($4,300): Napier had 23.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Monday. With the Trail Blazers on a back-to-back and Lillard playing heavy minutes, it’s possible Napier sees a bit more playing time in order to keep Lillard’s minutes down. It’s also possible Lillard puts this one away in the third quarter. He’s been over value in four of his last five and looks to be a key part of the Portland rotation heading into the playoffs. ***
