Kyle Fuller rumors: 5 best fits in NFL free agency

4. Indianapolis Colts
As the aforementioned slide said, the Colts no longer have Vontae Davis. He now resides in Buffalo for at least one year. This is a team that desperately needs help in the secondary and Fuller is a fantastic fit. It’s not a far flight from Chicago and he enters an entirely new regime with head coach Frank Reich at the helm.
The Colts were just awful last season, secondary included. They couldn’t stop the pass to save their lives. Rookie Malik Hooker was the only bright spot and that lasted all but seven games before he went down with a torn ACL. The secondary depth chart was laughable and it’s time for general manager Chris Ballard to bring in top talent. Under Matt Eberflus’ new defensive system, the Colts are switching to a 4-3 scheme. That doesn’t have as much of an impact on the secondary but it doesn’t take away the fact that the Colts need help.
Fuller would immediately become the No. 1 cornerback in Indianapolis. He’s got the talent over any other cornerback on the current roster. With the No. 3 pick, the Colts pick too early to reach for a cornerback. It’s expected they’ll take North Carolina State defensive end, Bradley Chubb, to further build on the defense.
Deshaun Watson and Marcus Mariota won’t be easy to stop next season. Having Fuller as the security blanket on the outside would be a major plus.
