2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen heads to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
The Cincinnati Bengals struggled through another season with Marvin Lewis as their head coach, and all indicators were that he would be fired after the year. However, the team decided to extend his contract, which means he will likely be with the team for another two seasons. If they are ever going to get back to the playoffs, they need to be better up front on offense, and they should focus their draft pick on a tackle.
The best tackle in this draft class is Mike McGlinchey, who has been a star for the past two seasons for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In fact, many believe he could have been a first rounder last year, but he decided to return to school to finish out his eligibility. He teamed with Quenton Nelson to give the Irish the best offensive line in the country, and he should be picked in the first 15 selections.
McGlinchey is an incredible specimen, and he has the size and feet to stay on the left side at the next level. He is very strong in his upper body, enabling him to control the line of scrimmage during his time at Notre Dame. The Bengals have a strong running back in Joe Mixon, and Andy Dalton is still a Pro Bowl player, they just need better people in front of them giving them time to operate.
