8. player. 57. . Wide Receiver. Alabama. Calvin Ridley

The Chicago Bears traded up one spot in the 2017 NFL Draft to grab North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, as they saw enough in him to make him their future at the position. Due to the fact Mike Glennon was terrible, the rookie had to come in a lot earlier than hoped for last season, and he played well at times. The real issue was he had nobody to throw to, as both Kevin White and Cameron Meredith missed the season due to injuries.

Heading into next season, this Bears team needs to get him some weapons. Sure, White looked to be in great shape based on a photo posted to social media, but how much can you really count on him. Star tight end Zach Miller has a long road ahead of him after nearly losing his leg in a mid-season injury, so the onus is on the organization to draft a wide out in the first round.

The best wide receiver in this draft class is Calvin Ridley, and it is not really close. He would be an instant star with the Bears, giving Trubisky a legitimate threat down the field. Chicago was decent on defense last season, and with a new offensive-minded head coach at the helm in Matt Nagy, this offense should take a step forward in 2018.
