Seattle Seahawks: 5 offseason needs
1. Window shop head coaches
Look, no one is saying Pete Carroll is washed. He’s not. This team just went to back-to-back Super Bowls and was a Marshawn Lynch non-carry away from repeating Lombardi Trophies. But Carroll turns 67 in September and was already the oldest head coach in the league.
Upheaval in the locker room and turnover on the coaching staff could leave Carroll with a narrowing window. Is he making one last ride with a new unit?
Plus, it’s possible none of the Bennett, Sherman, Chancellor, Thomas group could be on the team this time next year. Does he really want to go through a rebuild? Does he really want to be here through a transformation into his 70s?
