High Value PG

Austin Rivers, LAC vs CLE ($6,400): Rivers missed value against the Pelicans, contributing just 19.1 fantasy points on Tuesday. There are a lot of value guards currently listed as questionable that I like more than Rivers. But longtime readers know that I try to avoid listing any player listed as questionable unless they are the only options. If nothing else, Rivers does have a good matchup. The Cavaliers are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. D.J. Augustin or De’Aaron Fox are solid bets if they are able to play. ***

Tomas Satoransky, WAS at NO ($5,800): After missing value in four straight, Satoransky bounced back with 37.1 fantasy points against the Heat. He needs 25.3 fantasy points to hit value on Friday. The Wizards will catch a break in not having to play the unstoppable force known as Anthony Davis. The Pelicans have had trouble against perimeter players all season and the loss of Davis won’t help them. Satoransky will provide a solid game. ***

Fred VanVleet, TOR vs HOU ($4,700): VanVleet has been up-and-down in his last four games. He’s coming off a 19 fantasy point game against the Pistons on Wednesday. He had 22.6 fantasy points against the Rockets on Nov. 14. That game was too early to mean much. VanVleet should play his usual minutes and has a low enough salary to where he’ll be around the 20.5 fantasy points he needs to hit value. It’s a big night and you might need him in your lineup to grab an extra star. ***
