3. Baltimore Ravens

To say the Baltimore Ravens need help at wide receiver is an understatement. This team is desperate to acquire help in the free agent market. After having an anemic passing attack that averaged just 189.4 passing yards per game last season, something has to change. In his last year as general manager, Ozzie Newsome needs to improve the receiving core. That’s where Richardson comes in.

The Ravens are backed up against the wall in cap room. It’s not an ideal situation but money can be made with cap cuts and contract restructures. That still won’t give the team a huge amount of space but enough where signing Richardson would make sense. He’s not going to warrant the money that Robinson or even Sammy Watkins will. This is a deal that would help the Ravens fill a huge need for a price that fits their budget.

Joe Flacco is still financially tied the team for at least another two-three years, so the Ravens might as well get him some help. As of now, Breshad Perriman and Chris Moore are the only two receivers from last season under contract. That’s the making for one of the worst receiver cores in the NFL. The Ravens cannot afford to start next season without making drastic changes.

Richardson loves the deep ball and that’s a perfect fit with Flacco’s arm. Baltimore needs something to get excited about on the offensive side of the ball. While he’s not Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr., Richardson is certainly a start.
