1. San Francisco 49ers

The Los Angeles native could be pretty darn close to home with this move. Plus, he gets to stay on the West Coast. Richardson’s best free agency fit comes with the San Francisco 49ers and it’s for more reasons than the ones mentioned above.

If there’s a position where the Niners need help, it’s at wide receiver. Given the circumstances, this seems like an ideal situation. After securing Jimmy Garoppolo to a long-term deal, they have stability with one of the best and brightest young quarterbacks in all of football. As a receiver, why wouldn’t you want to catch passes from him next season? Kyle Shanahan’s offensive creativeness also provides endless opportunities. What he accomplished with the Falcons can now come to fruition with the Niners because there are adequate weapons available.

Richardson will be seeking money and John Lynch has all the cap room in the world. Richardson would get a very comfortable payday signing in San Francisco. The current receiving core of Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin isn’t eye-popping and it needs to be improved as the Niners continue to progress. Adding in that third receiver to the mix makes the offense a whole lot more dangerous.

The Niners almost check all of the boxes for Richardson and this move makes a ton of sense on every level.
