Another year, another draft in which the Seattle Seahawks are heavily investing in finding ways to upgrade their offensive line. While Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson and UTEP’s Will Hernandez are the consensus top to interior lineman in this class, Virginia Tech’s Wyatt Teller will be a great value pick in the middle rounds.

Teller came to Blacksburg as a four-star defensive end (shout out Tom Cable, we’ll never forget you) but the Hokies soon realized he was much more valuable on the offensive side of the ball. He started every game for Virginia Tech over the last three seasons, with all but one coming at left guard. Teller is the type of mauling interior player that would instantly make an impact in the running game for the Seahawks going forward.

While he’s not the type of athlete that Seattle usually looks for on their line in recent years, Teller is exceptionally strong and any Luke Joeckel replacement that won’t cost the team $10 million should be considered an upgrade.

The Seahawks may benefit from what many viewed as a down 2017 season for Teller, so John Schneider and Pete Carroll would be pretty happy to get him at this spot in the fourth round. If Teller isn’t the pick here, UCF’s Shaquem Griffin is a possibility.
