Fourth Round

Miami has two picks in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Given that the Dolphins can’t figure out guard for the live of them, they might have to address a primary need of theirs by taking Taylor Hearn out of Clemson at No. 111.

Hearn is 6-foot-4, 320 pounds. He may not have the highest ceiling of an offensive line prospect, but he did play in a great system in Clemson. Perhaps he could bring some of that winning culture from Clemson down to Miami? At worst, he could be a serviceable offensive line backup in this league for a long time.

It doesn’t matter if he is missing his left hand, UCF Knights senior linebacker Shaquem Griffin is an incredible, instinctual football player. He was everything for the undefeated Knights last season. The guy was able to transition from defensive back his first three years in college to a linebacker in his last two. He might be undersized, but he will make some team better upon arrival in the middle of that defense.

Griffin had 195 total tackles (122 solo, 73 assists), 33.5 for a loss of yardage, 18.5 quarterback sacks, 16 pass breakups, five fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and three interceptions in college. After running a 4.38 and putting up 20 reps at the combine, there is no way that Griffin isn’t a mid-round selection in the upcoming draft.
