Fifth Round

No way that the Bengals are drafting a wide receiver in the first round after John Ross gave them no production a year ago. However, they may want to draft a new Tiger of their own in D.J. Chark out of LSU. Chark is 6-foot-4, 198 pounds. He had 66 catches for 1,351 yards and six touchdowns in three years at LSU.

This does look to be a better linebacker class in this upcoming draft. The Bengals could get a good value pick at No. 170 in the fifth round by taking Andre Smith out of North Carolina. Smith is 6-feet, 240 pounds. He had 187 total tackles (90 solo, 97 assists), 8.5 for a loss of yardage, five pass breakups, two quarterback sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three years in Chapel Hill.

Sixth Round

You can never have too many good college defensive backs. The Bengals could look at landing cornerback Kamrin Moore out of Boston College at No. 187 in the sixth round. Moore is 5-foot-11, 200 pounds. He had 142 total tackles (100 solo, 42 assists), 21 pass breakups, 7.0 tackles for a loss of yardage, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a sack in four years at Chestnut Hill.

Seventh Round

Coleman Shelton had been a mainstay at center for the Washington Huskies the last few years. The redshirt senior is 6-foot-4, 299 pounds. While the Bengals are going heavy on the offensive line in this mock draft, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Shelton has ample experience playing in big games and that should matter.

Cincinnati will have filled all of its holes by the time pick No. 252 comes around in the seventh round. Let’s just give Marvin Lewis a pair of defensive front-seven players to be nice. The first being Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Garret Dooley. Dooley is 6-foot-3, 246 pounds. He had 82 total tackles (42 solo, 40 assists), 17.0 for a loss of yardage, 9.0 quarterback sacks and a pass breakup in his time in Madison.

Finally, the Bengals will end up taking defensive lineman Drew Bailey out of Louisville with its final pick of the 2018 NFL Draft at No. 253. Bailey is 6-foot-5, 294 pounds. He had 82 total tackles (43 solo, 39 assists), 10.0 for a loss of yardage, 3.0 quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery in three years in the ACC.
