High Value PG

Jamal Murray, DEN vs SAC ($5,700): Murray had 48.6 fantasy points against the Lakers on Friday. His salary has dropped to where he needs 27.7 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. He had 25 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 6. He’s been disappointing since Paul Millsap returned, but the low salary and matchup bode well for his value on Sunday. ****

Derrick Rose, MIN vs GS ($3,500): I’ll mention Rose because the only other high value option worth considering is Rajon Rondo. And without Anthony Davis, it’s tough to trust any member of the Pelicans to be over value, especially against the Utah defense. De’Aaron Fox is a fine option if he plays. So, Derrick Rose. He’s available to play and Tom Thibodeau is going to play him. The matchup is good as the Warriors are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. If you play a high risk lineup and can make up value elsewhere, give Rose a shot. You won’t get to say “Derrick Rose won me money” too many times this year. **

Isaiah Thomas, LAL vs CLE ($6,300): Thomas wants this game more than anything in the world right now. He struggled against the Nuggets, finishing with 19.4 fantasy points. But he’s going to go all out to try and win this game and his teammates will have his back. He’s a risk because playing on emotion can sometimes by dangerous, but I could easily see him pushing 40 fantasy points with the way he’s likely to play. ****

Darren Collison, IND at BOS ($5,200): Collison returned to the lineup on Friday, finishing with 29.9 fantasy points in 21 minutes against the Hawks. He came off the bench and is on a minutes restriction, but his salary is low enough to where he should be over value. His minutes will likely go up, and while the Celtics are a tough matchup, Collison is averaging 29.5 fantasy points in two games against them. ***
