One of the hardest picks to guess is the one that will be the second overall pick in April. The New York Giants were expected to be a playoff team last season, but instead they will pick at No. 2 in the 2018 NFL Draft. The last time they picked this high, the team selected a linebacker named Lawrence Taylor, and that certainly ended up being the right way to go.

With this year’s pick, the team could go a number of ways. Sure, Saquon Barkley was a man-child during the NFL Scouting Combine, but bringing in a quarterback with the No. 2 pick may be too hard to pass up. We have picked Barkley to go No. 2 overall for the last couple of weeks, but it is starting to get hard to see them passing up on their next franchise quarterback.

New general manager Dave Gettleman has seemed to be swaying away from taking a quarterback, but that could be all a show. If he does decide to pick Eli Manning’s successor in April, Josh Rosen could be perfect for the Giants going forward. He has the personality to play under the big lights of the New York market, and he certainly has the physical gifts to be a solid player as soon as he is given the keys to the car.
