Quarterback. Wyoming. Josh Allen. 6. player. 30.

The New York Jets need to find some answers at the quarterback position, and the odds are they are going to find their man during the 2018 NFL Draft. Due to the fact the team finished in the cellar of the AFC East last season, the Jets will pick early in round one, and there should be at least one of the premier quarterbacks available. While Baker Mayfield may find himself in New York with the Jets, the team may want to draft Josh Allen sixth overall instead.

Mayfield was a much more decorated player in college with Oklahoma, but Allen has the physical talents you look for in a franchise quarterback. While I firmly believe that Mayfield will be a solid player in the NFL, Allen may have the highest ceiling of any quarterback in this draft class. The Jets have to get this right, as they really have not had a franchise quarterback since Joe Namath.

The Jets have a ton of money to spend this offseason, though they are not going to spend it on a quarterback. The team signed Josh McCown to a one-year deal on Tuesday, and the word is they may bring in Teddy Bridgewater to be his backup. New York saw some young players really step up last season, and the hope is the money, and picks they have this offseason can make them a formidable team in 2018.
