Jordan Poole was the hero for Michigan on Saturday night, but he’s got history with buzzer-beaters.

Jordan Poole hit a game-winning, buzzer-beating 3-pointer to send Michigan to the Sweet 16 on Saturday night with 64-63 win against No. 6 Houston. The Wolverines were favorites, but they were outplayed for long stretches and had Poole to thank for bailing them out at the last possible moment.

But perhaps the most dramatic moment of March Madness so far shouldn’t have come as much of a surprise. Poole has history with buzz-beaters, having made a near-identical shot to the won he made against Houston while he was still in high school. Overtime unearthed the video and, well, the resemblance is uncanny.

Poole finds some room, chucks up the deep 3, legs spread wide and even falls down as he watches the shot connect. As similar as the two shots looked, however, the one against Houston was a little more impressive under the circumstances. Not only was it the game winner, but it came on the biggest stage in college hoops.

The Wolverines will be in action again on Thursday against the winner of No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 2 UNC. They’re probably going to need to up their game if they hope to make it to the Elite Eight, but if it comes down to it, they should at least know who to give their final shot.
