The Magic had an odd week, starting things out with a blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs, then returning home to beat the Bucks, followed by a loss to the injury-depleted Boston Celtics at home. DJ Augustin continues to play like he deserves a bigger role next season, and Jonathon Simmons is playing well after a cold stretch — but that’s where the good news ends. Jonathan Isaac isn’t getting enough minutes alongside Nikola Vucevic, and Mario Hezonja has shown zero consistency despite ample opportunities to succeed. If they can keep on losing games, they could find themselves in a situation where they can confidently project owning a top-five pick in the draft.
