Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick. 7. player. 48. . Defensive Back

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the talent on offense to move the ball, though they did trade away running back Doug Martin this offseason. The hope for the team could be that Saquon Barkley falls to them at No. 7, but that seems very unlikely. With the seventh overall pick, the Buccaneers should look to bolster their secondary, and Minkah Fitzpatrick could be available.

During his time at Alabama, Fitzpatrick helped lead the Crimson Tide to two national  titles. A versatile player who can play both safety, and cornerback, Fitzpatrick’s game is certain to translate over to  the NFL. He has the coverage skills you look for in a cornerback, but has that ball-hawk mentality that makes great safeties.

Many people believed the Buccaneers would go to the playoffs last season, as Jameis Winston took a big step forward in 2016. While the 2017 campaign was a disappointment, they did end up getting a top-10 pick, and they have the talent to win right away in 2018. Every other team in the NFC South made the playoffs last season, so the Bucs have some work to do this offseason.
