High Salary Wingers

Taylor Hall, NJ vs PIT ($7,300): What a season Taylor Hall is having — a 26-game point streak, talks about MVP nomination, he’s on pace to set career highs in points, and he is looking to break his streak of having never made the playoffs. In a tight Metro division, the Devils are fighting to stay alive and much of that stems from the stellar play of Taylor Hall. With two points in his last two games (1G,1A), expect Taylor Hall to string together at least one more run of points before the end of the season. ****

Brad Marchand, BOS vs DAL ($7,200): You can love him or you can hate him, but the one thing you can’t deny is the skill. Marchand has been excellent this year, and with Bergeron out and the Bruins looking to take the top spot in the Atlantic he continues to produce. He was held off the scoresheet on Wednesday against the Blues but in two games before that he recorded three points (1G, 2A). He produces a high shot volume as well and in facing a Dallas Stars team with some serous goaltending issues, expect Marchand to have a big night. *****

Phil Kessel, NJ vs PIT ($6,900): As a Leafs fan these will always hurt me to write, but Phil Kessel is having another high quality season for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is currently sitting three points ahead of Sidney Crosby for second place on the team in points behind the red hot Evgeni Malkin. He is currently one goal away from hitting 30 for the sixth time in his career and is coming off four points in his last three games (1G, 3A). In this very important Metro clash between the Devils and the Penguins, I would expect Phil along with all the big guns to be firing on all cylinders. ****

High Value Wingers

Jamie Benn, BOS vs DAL ($6,600): It’s weird for me to put Jamie Benn in the value section, especially considering how hot the Stars captain has been over the last stretch of games. Benn has eight points in his last five games (4G, 4A) and has been flying along with both of his linemates in Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov. Against a highly agitative team in the Boston Bruins (I’m looking at you Brad Marchand) expect the highly emotional Benn to put on a good show.*****

Alexander Radulov, BOS vs DAL ($6,200): It really must be scary for teams to have to face a team that has Benn, Seguin, and Radulov all on one line. All three of those players have the ability to take over games and the trio has continued to impress. Radulov has four points in his last three games (1G, 3A) and will continue to be a big part of the Stars last-minute push to the playoffs. The Stars are facing a Bruins team that has lost their last two games and are starting to see struggles on the goaltending end (Rask has been under .900 GAA in three of his last four games). This would be a good chance for the Stars top line to continue rolling. ****

Ryan Donato, BOS vs DAL ($5,600): Is it too late for me to throw this kid in for the Calder? Im only kidding, but this signing out of Harvard has been lights out for the Bruins in the two games he has played since joining the team. He has posted an impressive four points (2G, 2A) in his first two games of his NHL career along with eight shots on net. He is playing on the first power play unit, centering the second line for the Bruins and should be a definite consideration for fantasy players. Ride the hot hand on this one for sure. ***
