High Value SG
Tim Hardaway Jr., NY vs MIN ($5,900): Once again, due to a rash of injuries, there isn’t a whole lot to like as far as value shooting guards go. Hardaway Jr. is as inconsistent as they come but faces a good matchup. The Timberwolves are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. Hardaway Jr. posted 27.6 fantasy points against them on Jan. 12. That number would put him nicely over value on Friday. He’s a risk because of his struggles since returning from injury, but maybe he gets hot from field against a below average defense. **
Jordan Clarkson, CLE vs PHO ($4,500): If Kyle Korver plays, I honestly feel better about him than I do Clarkson. Korver will likely draw the start and see plenty of shooting opportunities next to LeBron James. Clarkson had 28.5 fantasy points against the Suns on Mar. 13. He wasn’t good against the Raptors, but the Suns are a team you have to take advantage of and Clarkson can score in a hurry off the bench and he’s slightly more reliable that J.R. Smith. But if Korver plays and starts, he’s the better option. ***
Wayne Ellington, MIA at OKC ($4,500): The Thunder are 27th against the position in their last 15 games. Ellington has been over value in six of his last seven and is coming off a 24.3 fantasy point effort against the Knicks on Wednesday. He chips in with rebounds, but his value is largely tied to his shooting. Given the amount of shots he gets and the lack of three-point defense by the Thunder, Ellington should have a nice outing where he’s over 20 fantasy points. ***
