Fourth Round

With future Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Peters getting up there in age, it comes as no surprise that offensive tackle is the Eagles’ biggest draft need. However, the Eagles don’t have picks in the second or third round. A guy they could take at No. 130 is Sam Jones out of Arizona State.

Jones is 6-foot-5, 305 pounds. He has 31-inch arms and 9 1/2 inch hands. He ran a 5.32 40-yard dash and put up 28 reps at 225 pounds at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Taking offensive linemen with their first two picks isn’t sexy, but the Eagles are already loaded and it would be advantageous for them to stockpile assets in the trenches.

The Eagles love nothing more than getting after the quarterback. They could use their second selection in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Toledo Rockets edge player Olasunkanmi Adeniyi. He certainly made a name for himself in his junior season at Toledo, where he had 66 total tackles (34 solo, 32 assists), 20.0 for a loss of yardage, 8.5 quarterback sacks, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery.

Adeniyi is 6-foot-2, 248 pounds. He has 31 3/4 inch arms and 9 5/8 inch hands. He ran a 4.83 40-yard dash and put up 26 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press at the scouting combine. Again, this will be more of a developmental pick, but the Eagles can certainly afford that luxury. General manager Howie Roseman has roughly a four-year grace period after winning Super Bowl LII.
