The Flash isn’t running through the rest of season 4 for a few more weeks. Find out when Barry Allen and friends are back with new episodes.

The final showdown with the Thinker isn’t coming until May. Everyone who knows anything about network TV scheduling knows that. Unfortunately, that means spreading out the final seven episodes of The Flash season 4 (yes, that’s all there are left) to make it until sweeps.

As a result, the show is on a bit of an early spring hiatus. The last new episode, “Run, Iris, Run,” aired on March 13, and The Flash season 4 doesn’t return with new episodes until Tuesday, April 10.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that episode 17, “Null and Annoyed,” not only dives right into one of the remaining bus metas but also marks the return of Kevin Smith as director. The famed movie director and noted superhero aficionado has been behind the camera multiple times for different Arrowverse shows, but this will be his third episode of The Flash. He previously directed “The Runaway Dinosaur” in season 2 and “Killer Frost in season 3.

The rest of this season should be interesting since there have been several times when it appeared Team Flash had a leg up on the Thinker only to be proven wrong. Right now, our heroes still don’t have a handle on DeVoe’s endgame, though they know they need to stop him from acquiring the powers of any more of the bus metas regardless of what he plans to do with them — especially since that costs the metas their lives.
