Not much changed based on Porter’s decision to return for what ended up being Missouri’s final two games. He was incredibly inefficient as he tried to regain offensive rhythm within a roster that had already over-performed without him, shooting 9-29 from the field and taking over the Tigers’ offense in those two contests.
Driving to the rim, his ball-handling problems were magnified, and though he technically turned the ball over just three times in two games, it could have been many more. Porter just doesn’t look comfortable with the ball in his hands yet, making his transition into an NBA team’s primary play-maker a little more questionable. For now, his role probably looks like Golden State-era Harrison Barnes, a spot-up shooter with upside to control the offense against opposing benches.
