San Jose Sharks vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights

Channel: NCSA, ATRM

Live Stream: Fubo.tv

Time: 10:30 p.m. ET

The red-hot San Jose Sharks head to Las Vegas Saturday night trailing the Golden Knights by five points for the lead atop the NHL’s Pacific Division, in the final regular season meeting between the newfound rivals.

The Golden Knights recently clinched a playoff spot in their impressive inaugural season. They will look to end a decent month of March with a big win over division rivals the San Jose Sharks. The Knights are 7-5-2 on the month, while the Sharks have found their groove at the right time of year. San Jose is an impressive 10-2-1 on the month, and currently one of the hottest teams in the NHL.

Through the three previous meetings between the teams, the Golden Knights lead the season series with a 2-0-1 record. All three of the games have been close, two of which needed extra time. The Knights defeated the Sharks once in the shootout, while the Sharks defeated the Knights once in overtime. The third matchup was decided by two goals, one being an empty netter, in a 5-3 Golden Knights win.

With a victory Saturday night, the Sharks can move within three points of the Golden Knights for the division lead. A loss, on the other hand, will leave the Sharks nearly out of contention to win the division.

Look for a hungry, red-hot San Jose team to bring their A game into Vegas in hopes of building on their recent play and eventually stealing the division lead from the Knights.

Heading into Thursday night, Jones has been victorious in seven straight starts and has helped carry a Sharks team that ranks 12th in the NHL in goals for per game to a solid position come the playoffs in April. He will need to showcase his elite play in Vegas Saturday night, if the Sharks are going to have a chance at beating a Golden Knights team that is 27-10-2 on home ice.
