2. Braun Strowman

Match – Braun Strowman and potential partner vs. The Bar (c) for the Raw Tag Team Championship

Maybe this seems a little cheap. After all, Braun Strowman might just be one of the most popular performers WWE has on its roster. For some reason, WWE decided to book him in a Tag Team title match. This doesn’t make a ton of sense, and there was a train of thought he would be added to the Lesnar vs. Reigns match. He definitely deserves the main event spotlight. In defense of WWE, if he didn’t have a chance to win the title, then he shouldn’t have been in there with Lesnar and Reigns.

There’s been a running joke on some areas of social media that WWE should just give Strowman all of the titles. He’s come a long way since he debuted as a member of the Wyatt Family. He may not be the best on the mic, but he’s more than passable. What he lacks in mic skills he makes up for in brute strength. He looks like a pro wrestler to a tee. He’s busted his butt to be where he is and is looking for that defining moment to really propel him to the top.

It looked like he might get that moment at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view as he eliminated four other men before bowing out to the winner, Roman Reigns. It continued a pattern of Strowman getting really close and coming up just a hair short. The Bar (comprised of Seamus and Cesaro) has defeated every tag team on Raw. If Strowman is going to be in this spot, he should have no partner and lay waste to his opponents.

Having Strowman be the Tag Team champs all by himself could be fun in the short term. Sure, he deserves to be holding a more prestigious title right now. For whatever reason, that wasn’t in the cards for this WrestleMania. All that’s left for Strowman to do is to dominate one of the best teams in WWE all by himself. That should have plenty of fans and backstage higher-ups buzzing at the end of the night.
