The Master’s is the first of four major championships in golf. It is the only Major that does not change locations. So exactly where is Augusta National Golf Club?

The 2018 Masters gets underway from Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday, April 5 and ends on Sunday, April 8.  The top professional and amateur golfers in the world will meet in Augusta Georgia to take home one of golf’s most coveted prizes: the green jacket. It is a small town with a population of under 200,00 people. But for one week a year every April, it becomes the temporary home for golf fans across the globe. It is one of the hottest tickets in golf. Fans must enter a lottery system to get tickets.

Augusta National Golf Club has hosted The Masters ever since 1934. Unlike the US Open, British Open and PGA Championship, The Masters is always on the same course. The grounds feature a visually stunning 18 holes with each hole named after a flower. The course has had minor changes throughout history but for the most part, the challenging layout has stood the test of time.

The course is located about 150 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. If you can not find a flight into Atlanta, you can try the Charleston International Airport in Charleston, South Carolina. Both airports will leave visitors with close to a three-hour drive to Magnolia Lane and the main clubhouse. If a road trip is more your style set the GPS for 2604 Washington Rd. Augusta, GA 30904.

When Augusta National Golf Club is not hosting the Masters, it is one of the most prestigious country clubs in the country. Members are admitted on an invitation-only basis and membership has been limited to about 300 members. Famous members of the club include NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, college football icon Lou Holtz and billionaire Warren Buffet
