3. Act as the WrestleMania host

This one may be the ultimate cop out, but it may be the easiest option if nothing is actually happening with the Undertaker on Sunday night for John Cena.

So far, there hasn’t been an announcement for who would host WrestleMania 34, which is weird considering the past few years of the event. After The New Day’s whole WrestleMania existence last year consisted of hosting duties, it seemed like WWE was trying to make it an important piece of the night. With Cena not taking part in any matches, maybe they throw him in that spot to get some more shine on their golden boy for media responsibilities.

It’s obviously a step down from any match he could have at WrestleMania, or any confrontation with the Undertaker, but it may work to have Cena start the night calling out the Dead Man one last time. Once he gets no response, he can just run around as the guest host, and maybe be the one to yell at Braun Strowman when he inevitably comes out by himself for his tag team title match. If The New Day can put the Hardy Boyz in a match last year, Cena could surely throw some weight around on Sunday night.

It’s an option for sure; whether it’s good or bad is the next question. They likely need someone in that role for their little announcements throughout the show for attendance numbers and match information, and it may make sense for Cena to take this role and still enjoy the show as a “fan” as he keeps saying he will.
