2. Confront The Rock during a guest appearance

This one wouldn’t be as fun as an actual match for John Cena on Sunday night, but it may be big enough to work regardless.

There are tons of odds flying around for gamblers all hoping for an appearance from The Rock at WrestleMania 34, especially with Ronda Rousey making her in-ring debut a few years after her appearance alongside The Great One at WrestleMania 31. It would make sense for The Rock to make some sort of quick appearance in the ring, even if he’s just announcing the attendance for the night, and it’d be fun to see him and Cena face to face for a fourth time at the biggest stage of them all.

We last saw Cena and The Rock together in the ring two years ago after The Rock’s impromptu match against Erick Rowan during a segment with The Wyatt Family and Cena’s quick save from a tough situation. They’ve also competed in two WrestleMania main events, with each taking one match for themselves. However, what if Cena gets desperate and tries to stir up trouble with The Rock?

There are plenty of rumors that this whole Cena-Undertaker drama could be setting up a match for next year (for some reason), and maybe this adds to that year-plus build. Cena shows how desperate he is for one more WrestleMania moment, challenges The Rock because The Undertaker won’t step up, and maybe the gong or Taker’s American Badass theme rings through the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

It’s all a stretch, but even without the Undertaker, a segment with Cena and The Rock could just be a fun way to get the crowd engaged and give Cena something to do outside of in-ring action on Sunday night.
